Each Indow insert is proudly handcrafted in our Portland, OR facility using materials sourced right here in the USA, which allows us to maintain rigorous quality control and meet our exacting standards. Your inserts will be custom made to your exact window measurements and backed by our Snug Fit Guarantee.

Our proprietary compression tubing ensures a nearly airtight seal without needing tools or modifications to your existing window frames to install — they simply slide in! Each insert features premium insulating acrylic that is built to withstand daily use and is guaranteed to be free from defect by our Lifetime Warranty.

    I installed these inserts at my kid's bedroom to reduce noise. My daughter and my son's bedroom faces a street that get busy during the day. The inserts reduced the noise in at least 10db. I also noticed some improvements at the insulation, the area around the window don't get as cold as it used to get during the winter.

    We have a very old home that started as a one room cabin in 1935 in the mountains of CA It has been added on to numerous times and the former owner changes out all of the windows to duel pane except one funky non opening window in a bedroom.     We purchased a total of 7 Indow 'Acoustic' Window inserts for the purpose of reducing the level of noise inside our home from our neighboring home's outdoor A/C - Heatpump units on either side. We couldn't be more pleased with the results. The noise level is reduced (NOT completely) but to the degree that we find ourselves looking out the window on occasion to see whether or not those outside units are actually running. There is a dramatic reduction in the noise level from prior to our installation. Thank you Indows!!

    Window replacement is so expensive. Indow window inserts are a great alternative to extend the life of your windows. Since we had no mechanical issues with the windows inserts were a good choice.

    The staff was great to work with. They gladly answered any questions I had. The inserts were very well packaged for shipping. It was a fine experience from start to finish.

    We received our windows and installed them right away. We live very close to a busy highway behind our home, so noise has always been an issue. We ordered the acoustic inserts for three windows, and I can honestly say I noticed a difference immediately. The sound isn’t completely gone (which is understandable with a highway nearby), but it has been reduced enough that I no longer need to sleep with earplugs, which is a huge win for us.

    The customer service was also great — they were helpful and kept us updated throughout the entire process. Installation was fairly easy, and the installation videos were very clear and helpful. Overall, we’ve been very happy with our experience and have already recommended this product to a friend.

    We ordered the Thermo insulation inserts for our cabin off the Blue Ridge Parkway in VA. The windows are old and drafty and with the wind and the cold that has happened this year, the inserts have really came through. We used to see the curtains move when the wind was blowing hard and the cold would come right through the windows. After installing the inserts, which was so easy, there is a night and day difference with the window inserts and the house is actually warmer and the heat is not running constantly. These inserts have saved us thousands of dollars in window replacments and you can not even tell that the inserts are in the windows. Thank you Window Inserts for all your help.

    Excellent product for windows outside noise problems. Bought 2 Indow inserts for our bedroom windows. I was hesitant at first, but after installing our new acoustic Indows I was impressed. If you have an odd-shaped window or an especially large window that needs a mullion, contact a Fit Specialist and we'll help you build a custom order.

We need two dimensions for each window in your estimate, rounded to whole inches. You'll capture production-quality measurements once you're ready to order.

Here’s how:

STEP 1

Identify the place in your window to install your insert. Some windows have more than one frame step, shown above in blue and yellow.

STEP 2

For the inserts to fit there must be at least 5/8″ of flat space all the way around. Measure width and round up to the nearest inch.

The frame step must be unobstructed by window hardware or blinds. Measure the height and round up to the nearest inch.

When deciding where you'll install your insert, it's important to choose a frame step at least 1/2" from the window glass to maximize performance. If you want your inserts to block outside noise, the inserts should be installed in a frame step that's at least 1-4" from the window glass - the greater distance from your window - the more noise reduction you'll experience.

Once you're satisfied with your choices, you can start an order right from an estimate. Before producing your custom Indow inserts, we'll capture 6 measurements for each window.

Just choose your preferred method of capturing final measurements to get started.

Laser Measure Kit

We recommend using our Laser Measure Kit to capture production-quality measurements — ensuring your Indow inserts fit snugly with no leaks. We'll collect a refundable deposit which will be fully credited to your order once you return the kit. Our Laser Measure Kits are typically sent out within 1-2 business days and usually take 2-3 business days to arrive, depending on your location.

Tape Measure

Most windows can be measured for Indows with a quality tape measure. If you're handy with a tape measure and can reach the full diagonal distance between each corner of your windows, you can start measuring today — with no deposit required!

We also offer expert Measurement Support free of charge if you run into any snags.

Submit Your Measurements

Regardless of which measurement method you choose, we'll help guide you through the measurement process step-by-step in your dashboard.

Once you've submitted all the measurements for your order, we'll run them through our proprietary software to check for any errors. If everything looks good, we'll notify you that your order is ready for payment.

Once you've completed payment, your order will enter our production queue. Our production lead times vary based on demand — and shipping can take up to 2 weeks — so the sooner you're able to submit your measurements, the closer you'll be to improving the comfort, quiet, and energy efficiency of your home.
