Our neighbor's dog's bark is so loud and constant that it was making it hard to get work done. I'm a professional voice actor, and even though I have a sound treated booth, when my kids went outside to play, that dog barking could be heard in my recordings. The studio is in a 1940s house with concrete walls, so replacing the windows would be a big ordeal and quite expensive. I researched all the DIY baffle methods, but was sad that I'd lose the only light and view in the room. I finally found Indows and decided to give it a try. While production did take a while, when they finally arrived, I was very excited to get some relief from the incessant barking. (I swear, there's SOMETHING in this dog's pitch...my microphone in the booth couldn't pick up chainsaws cutting trees one house over, but this dog...yikes)

The inserts were easy to install (pro tip: make sure you DON'T accidentally trap a fly inside. Whoops), and we were amazed that they could hardly be seen at all. It looks like there's nothing there! The kids ran outside and yelled and screamed (yes, the dog was already barking), and while I could hear things faintly, my microphone COULDN'T. Hallelujah! This is going to give me more flexibility and peace to be able to do my job. I'll definitely recommend them to my colleagues, some of whom complain often about loud traffic noise and leafblowers! Great product.

There was some miscommunication on shipping between Indow and UPS freight which made for a frustrating delivery. Be expected for the delivery dates and times you receive from either company to not be accurate and somewhat variable. When opening the inserts, scissors are not strong enough to cut the bindings, would recommend a sharp knife. The inserts themselves are very easy to unpack and fairly easy to install. I only required additional help as my windows are over 12ft tall. There is some sound damping, but not sound proof. I would say decibels have been lowered by maybe 1-2db.

Amazing noise reduction and clarity of view! I am able to enjoy my home again. The assistance with measuring correctly was thorough and "compassionate". Tyler was very patient and accommodating. I didn't realize I would need an extra pair of hands and a cordless drill to install until the inserts arrived. Once I lined up the support I needed it was very easy to install. I also needed assistance navigating the delivery box into my home due to its size and weight.

The seal is better than we thought. But design wise, 1 thing that not happy is the pull tab on the white trim is chrome/silver not white. I say that because on the black trim, the pull tab is black. On the white trim that pull tab stands out too much.

Thank you Tyler and everyone at Indow for improving the quality of our bedroom. We had air leaks around the 1903 set of windows and constant noise intrusion from the street below. The acoustic design has eliminated most noise and the tight fit keeps cold air out.

I was surprised how tight the fit would be. At first the seal at the lower right corner puckered and would not close. It took some effort to reseat the Indow for uniform compression all around with no gaps.

We’re very happy with the inserts. We had very drafty windows and now we don’t. The difference was noticeable right away after putting them in, I would highly recommend Indow Windows.

our inserts are very good at reducing noise and heat/cold. BUT - the inserts are a very tight fit. My husband said that he nearly didn't get them installed because they are so tight. He was disappointed with this because of the care we took with the measuring process. He did get them installed but someone who is not as strong and fit as him would never have been able to install them and would have sent them back as too big.

Took a chance and purchased 20 for the whole house. Installed them right before what turned out to be the two coldest weeks of winter (well below zero every night, single digit highs during the day). Very happy with the purchase. They are working out great. Eliminated drafts and even the noise reduction is noticeable. Measuring and ordering went smoothly. My cost was less than 10% of what new windows were estimated at and I am sure I ended up with superior results. Quality product delivers on performance.

We put three Indows in our bedroom. We live on a fairly busy street in Wisconsin and love how they've made our room warmer and quieter. And we still have our 150 year old windows.
