New windows? No way.

Alistair and Ellin wanted comfort in a drafty historic New England home dating to 1756. It soon become clear: keeping historic windows to retain value was important.

After weathering more than 250 years, their lovely house had sloped floors. The windows were shaped like trapezoids. Historic preservationists advised the couple against replacing the windows, which would hurt the value of their home. So they turned to Indow for laser-measured inserts that fit each uniquely shaped out-of-square window.

Alistair noticed two things immediately after installing Indow inserts: the cold drafts were gone. “It’s quite remarkable,” he said. And the heat stayed in the room longer. Not only had they preserved a rare example of pre-Revolutionary War residence, they had preserved the value of their home.
