Earth Day was established April 22,1970 to bring attention to the state of the environment with 20 million people across the country rallying for environmental reform. Now 44 years later, it’s a worldwide event with more than 200 million people celebrating our home.

On Saturday April 26, the Portland Earth Day Coalition will be hosting an Earth Day Celebration at Kenton Park with over 75 sustainable businesses and organizations, live music all day and a Kids’ Village run by Circus Cascadia. SOLVE IT is at again this year, celebrating Earth Day by bringing volunteers and communities together to tend to parks, neighborhoods and waterways throughout Oregon.
