Indow Museum Grade inserts are UV protection for windows to prevent wood floors, furniture, and artwork from fading, saving you the cost of replacing damaged items. These interior storm windows block 98% of the damaging UV radiation coming through your windows, while providing the comfort and energy savings of Standard Grade. Museum Grade inserts press into the interior of your existing window frames for solar window protection that doesn’t alter your windows.
UV radiation, more than other kinds of heat and light, is the biggest cause of fading of furniture and wood floors. Unless you have newer double-pane windows with UV reflecting, your windows are not stopping UV rays from entering your home. UV radiation is harmful to your furniture, art, and floors, but also can be harmful to your health. Museum Grade inserts press into the interior of your existing window frames for solar window protection that doesn’t alter your windows. This means you get the performance of new double-pane windows, but keep your home’s original windows.

Museum Grade solar window inserts blend into the surrounding window frame, preserving the look of your original windows while also providing uv blocking so furniture, artwork, books, and wood floors don’t get damaged. Blinds and shades perform similarly when it comes to UV blocking, but they will be worn down over time from the UV rays.

To take the next steps on your order, there are two ways to submit your window measurements: an Indow provided laser, or your own tape measure. Either way, your measurements will be checked and confirmed by our proprietary measurement software Measure by Indow. This ensures a snug fit for your custom window insert.

Indow Performance Grades start at $40 MSRP per sq ft. That's $480 MSRP for a 3'x4' window opening.*
